Obstruction revolves around the action of obstructing (from the publication) and the state of being obstructed (to the reader). The content is divided into three main sections: personal, political and environmental obstructions. Throughout Obstruction, image-based pages of a different material interrupts the flow of text-based spreads. This straight-forward obstruction of the readers’ ability to read the text and understand the content is intentional; unless one removes the obstruction by ripping out the image-based pages in-between. Obstruction acts as an artifact of these ideas, displayed literally and conceptually, from the content to the form of the publication.
